Venture Global has signed two new sale-and-purchase agreements to supply 2 million tonnes per annum of liquefied natural gas to China Gas from its Louisiana projects, as part of the US state’s growing LNG industry.

Louisiana has a big future for LNG projects in development, including Venture Global’s Plaquemines and CP2 projects. Meanwhile, Cheniere Energy has initiated a permitting process for its Sabine Pass Stage 5 Expansion Project, which will add 20 million tonnes of LNG production capacity to the state.
