Harbour Energy has awarded a front-end engineering design contract to Technip Energies for work on the Viking carbon capture and storage project in the UK.

The workscope, which will be supported by Technip Energies subsidiary Genesis, will cover FEED for the project’s carbon dioxide transportation system, including a CO₂ handling station, onshore and offshore pipeline and a “not permanently attended installation” platform, the Paris-based contractor said.
