Workers at Brazilian federal environmental regulator Ibama have completed a month on strike, a move that is already affecting the issuance of new licences for dozens of projects, including for oil and gas operations.

Around 1200 employees signed a letter addressed to Ibama president Rodrigo Agostinho when the strike started on 1 January to demand better working conditions and a proper career plan.
