New Delhi: In a strategic move aimed at bolstering the electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure in India, Statiq and GLIDA, previously known as Fortum Charge & Drive India, have entered into a partnership to streamline the charging process for electric vehicle users across the country, enhancing the nationwide charging network’s accessibility and convenience.

According to the agreement, the entire GLIDA charging network will now be accessible through the Statiq App, enabling users to locate and use any public charger within the GLIDA network. This initiative is designed to promote interoperability between Statiq and GLIDA charging stations, reducing the need for EV users to rely on multiple applications for their charging needs. GLIDA’s charging solutions will also remain available through its own app and the Charge-Thru web link, maintaining a wide array of options for users.

Speaking about the collaboration, Raghav Arora, Co-founder & CTO, Statiq, said, “We are thrilled to partner with GLIDA to accelerate the transition to electric mobility in India. Integrating GLIDA’s chargers into the Statiq app marks a pivotal step towards creating a comprehensive and user-friendly EV charging ecosystem in the country.”

The partnership aligns with Statiq’s commitment to collaborating with charge point operators (CPOs) to ensure EV users have access to a reliable and expansive charging infrastructure. This approach aims to simplify the charging process for EV owners, allowing Statiq Credits to be utilized across all partner CPO networks.

Awadhesh Kumar Jha, Executive Director, GLIDA, emphasized the significance of the partnership, stating, “Our strategic partnership with Statiq underscores our dedication to advancing EV charging infrastructure in India. This collaboration not only facilitates easier access to our pan-India network through the Statiq App but also strengthens our commitment to green mobility solutions.”

The partnership, which includes over 850 GLIDA charging points being made accessible through the Statiq app, is a testament to the companies’ shared goal of supporting India’s shift towards sustainable transportation. This collaboration is expected to play a key role in enhancing the availability and convenience of EV charging solutions, thus encouraging the adoption of electric vehicles across the nation.
