Saudi Aramco poised to hit the brakes on multibillion-dollar oil facility as capacity expansion halted

Saudi Aramco is poised to halt plans to build a multibillion-dollar onshore facility for its Manifa oilfield, as the state behemoth suspends its production capacity expansion plans.

The Saudi state player this week said that it has received a directive from the Ministry of Energy to maintain its maximum sustainable capacity (MSC) at 12 million barrels per day and not to continue increasing MSC to 13 million bpd.
