Petrobras postpones Albacora FPSO tender by five months

Petrobras has pushed back the date for the submission of bids in a tender for the charter of the floating production, storage and offloading vessel meant to revitalise operations at the Albacora field in Brazil’s Campos basin.

Sources said Petrobras opted to postpone the deadline from 13 February to 3 July in order to facilitate the competitive bidding process.

The Brazilian oil giant, as well as potential bidders have been trying to address supply chain constraints, competition for yard slots and financing challenges ahead of a wave of new FPSO orders.
