Hero Future Energies, UP govt sign Rs 4,000 cr MoU at Davos, Energy News, ET EnergyWorld


New Delhi: The Hero Future Energies (HFE) on Thursday said it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Uttar Pradesh government for investing Rs 4,000 crore in a renewable energy and clean technology project.

Hero Future Energies currently has a portfolio of 3 GW of grid connected wind, solar, and rooftop solar power generating assets operating in India and Europe and another 2 GW of projects are in the pipeline across India, Vietnam, Bangladesh, and UK.

The MoU was signed on Wednesday by the agriculture production commissioner and infrastructure and industrial development commissioner of the UP Government, Manoj Kumar Singh and Rahul Munjal, chairman and managing director, Hero Future Energies, on the sidelines of World Economic Forum meetings at Davos, Switzerland.

Besides this, the delegation also met the top leadership of HCL Technologies, Uniliver, Nestle, Microsoft and ReNew on Thursday, added the official press release.

In its meeting with Kalyan Kumar, Chief product officer of HCL Technologies, the delegation discussed the company’s expansion of its core product development work in Lucknow. The company has an ongoing project in Lucknow, which includes the HCL IT City, which spans over 100 acres and operates as a SEZ zone.
