China’s largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) importer China National Offshore Corporation (CNOOC) is spearheading an innovative project at its Dapeng LNG terminal in Shenzhen, focusing on harnessing cold energy for the aquaculture industry.

Since its inauguration in 2016, the Dapeng terminal, having handled 100 million tonnes of LNG imports as of June last year, is now at the forefront of a pilot initiative.
