Ocyan wins three rig contracts with Petrobras offshore Brazil

Brazilian oilfield services player Ocyan has secured a trio of contracts with Petrobras to provide drilling rigs to the oil giant to carry out activities at Brazilian waters.

As previously reported by Upstream, Ocyan was one of four qualified drilling contractors in a Petrobras tender in which the Brazilian state-controlled company was seeking high-specification rigs.

Ocyan has won new three-year contracts for the drillships ODN I and ODN II, as well as the semi-submersible rig Norbe VI.

Financial terms were not disclosed but based on prices published by Upstream months ago, the three combined contracts are expected to be worth more than $1.1
