New Delhi: NTPC on Tuesday said it has crossed the 1-gigawatt (GW) annual capacity mark in the renewable energy segment by adding 1,075 megawatt (MW) capacity in financial year 2022-23 (FY23).

According to the official press release, with this, the state-run power generator’s total non-fossil capacity has reached 9.41 per cent.

“With the successful commissioning of 150 MW and 90 MW Devikot solar projects at Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, are declared on Commercial Operation on 13 December 2022,” said the release.

It added that with this, NTPC’s standalone installed and commercial capacity has become 58,042 MW, while group installed and commercial capacity has become 70,657 MW.
