Alibag: More than 1,000 of the 25,000 vehicles registered with the Raigad Regional Transport Office for the financial year 2022-23 were electric vehicles, a senior official said on Thursday.
He added that Raigad RTO earned revenue of Rs 19.38 crore from the registration of vehicles in the financial year that just ended.
“Of the 25,000 vehicles registered in 2022-23, a total of 1,089 were electric vehicles, of which 47 are four-wheelers. There are also several e-vehicles that need not be registered at RTOs,” the official added.
The Raigad RTO also collected Rs 7.71 crore as penalty for various violations, the official said.
