New Delhi: Asian economic growth is currently mainly powered by fossil fuels. Energy supply growth between 2010 and 2019 was primarily driven by fossil fuels including coal, oil and natural gas, in contrast to Europe and the US where there was a major decline in fossil fuels and an increase in renewables, according to Moody’s recent sector in-depth report titled ‘Sustainable Finance – Asia-Pacific: Focus on sustainable finance to provide credit benefits for regional hubs’.
